Window Display project for UBIK CAFÉ
2016, Valencia, Spain.
Ephemeral architecture project for the Ruzafa carnival 2016, in Valencia. As part of a team we made two lamps for a coffee-library which is located in Ruzafa area. (Carrer del Literat Azorín, 13, 46003 Valencia)
These lamps represent the angel and the demon, according to the history of the carnival of Valencia – were people used to dress up as angels and demons in order to make a protest.
We chose the letter U after the name of the coffee “UBIK CAFÉ”, and made a 3D piece that uses the exterior layer of its depth as a warm ambient light.
The materials – cardboard and translucent plastic – match the interior style of the coffee-library.
This project was made by Mar Cerveró, José Pineño and myself in one week.
